The great thing about 'Loire à Vélo' is that direct links to many other cycling routes like loops make possible to do short bike rides (a few hours) that start and end in the same place. You can also pedal along the Indre River ccyling route.

The Indre River cycling route starts in Azay-le-Rideau. Linked to the Loire à vélo at both ends, it runs for 200 km along the river Indre, on quiet roads that are marked and secure.

The various legs of this easy, captivating route will take you past many quaint villages, rustic landscapes and several significant tourist attractions like Azay-le-Rideau castle, the Montbazon keep, the Royal city of Loches...

About 50 bike rides in loop

Other numerous bicycle tourism routes are available in Touraine. They generally consist of loops around a town or an area. This is the case in Amboise (5 themed trips ranging in length from 27 to 42 km), in Azay-le-Rideau (5 loops ranging in length from 7 to 21 km) and near Loches (4 loops, 9 to 24 km). These routes are ideal for short outings to last a few hours.
