The Indre River cycling route is another trail, located to the south of it famous big sister, the Loire river cycling route. Also discover cycling trails in loops for short bike rides (a few hours) that start and end in the same place.
The Indre River cycling route, with some famous Loire Castles
To the south of the Loire and the city of Tours, the Indre River cycling route runs for 200 km on quiet roads that are marked and secure, between the Touraine and the Berry area. The various legs of this easy, captivating route will take you past many quaint villages, rustic landscapes and several significant tourist attractions like Azay-le-Rideau castle, the Candé estate, the Montbazon keep, the Royal city of Loches, the village-garden of Chedigny and of course, the chateau of Chenonceau.
About 50 bike rides in loop
Other numerous bicycle tourism routes are available in Touraine. They generally consist of loops around a town or an area, in length from 8 to 35km, through countryside, vineyards, and forest. These routes are ideal for short outings to last a few hours.
