Fundeta conference
Like many villages in France, Fondettes sheltered soldiers from the German army during the Second World War.
The population endured the vagaries of the Occupation and the laws of the Vichy regime. Acts of resistance took place in the commune, as did acts of incivility and collaboration. The village suffered civilian deaths and the destruction of buildings following the 1944 bombings. The episodes of this still recent history will be recounted.
