Bâton Rouge is an acoustic duo whose ambition is to traverse an intimate imaginary world, woven from New Orleans blues, French chansons and traditional Creole songs.
Juggling a Hawaiian guitar, an autoharp or a bouzouki, Bâton Rouge delivers a stripped-down, organic music that gives pride of place to lyrics and emotions. The repertoire pays tribute to female blues singers from all over the world, and whether it's traditional pieces revisited or original compositions, all these songs exude an essential fragrance of anger, freedom and humanism.
