Sunny summer days have an impact on water levels in the Etang du Louroux. On its edges, exposed areas, more commonly known as mudflats, appear. This type of habitat is rich in various small mud worms. Sandpipers, sandpipers, godwits and other species of waders come here to feed during a short migratory stopover between northern Europe and West Africa.
