"Norway, the thorn moor, the deep marshes, a dark forest, the black fire and the bridge that leads to paradise.
Olav Asteson falls asleep on Christmas Eve and awakes from his dream a month later.
When he wakes up, he recounts the adventures, both beautiful and terrifying, he has had in this other world. "
Ola Gjeilo, a young composer belonging to the Nouvelles Musiques Chorales movement, takes us on a musical journey, weaving a dreamlike atmosphere around the medieval Norwegian poem Draumkvedet.
This 7-movement work, composed in 2023, will be presented in its original form with 8-voice choirs (Contrechant and Chambriolle), string orchestra and piano.
Under the musical direction of Zoé Canteux.
