How to get to Touraine?
How to get to Touraine?
By train
At the crossroads of the Paris-Bordeaux and Nantes-Lyon routes, the TOURS / SAINT-PIERRE-DES-CORPS train station benefits from the success of the TGV Atlantique high-speed train line with a constantly growing number of efficient connections to the capital: 16 round-trip TGV trains per day, in less than an hour you can be in the Paris city centre, at the Montparnasse train station.
TGV ATLANTIQUE
For several years now, the TGV train network has made direct links possible between Touraine and Ile de France cities (Massy and its prestigious "grandes écoles", Marne-la-Vallée and Disneyland Paris), as well as access to the entire world with service to the Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport. South-eastern France is not far now, thanks to the TGV Méditerranée (Tours is now a 2:50 train ride away from Marseille and 2:50 away from Lyon...). Large cities to the north are also easy to reach, such as Lille (3:00), Brussels (3:30) and London (4:20).
TGV EST
The TGV Est and TGV Atlantique link five cities in the east of France to Touraine:
- Strasbourg – Tours/St Pierre des Corps: 4:05
- Lorraine TGV (Metz, Nancy) – Tours/St Pierre des Corps: 2:55
- Meuse TGV (Bar le Duc) – Tours/St Pierre des Corps: 2:30
- Champagne Ardennes TGV (Reims) – Tours/St Pierre des Corps: 2:00
