The Grand Pressigny Museum of Prehistory is housed in a château. It outlines the evolution of mankind and our way of life over a period of 200,000 years. Visitors feel they are immersed in prehistoric times alongside the life-size reproductions of animals and humans.
The museum's rich collections are a chance for them to explore the social, technical and economic aspects of prehistoric times, with special attention given to the phenomenon that has made Touraine famous in the world of archaeology: Grand-Pressigny flint.
Exhibitions and workshops are regularly organised, especially during school holidays.
